My honest Ringana review: what no one tells you after years of use

My honest take on Ringana after years of daily use: what surprised me at first, what I love, what I don't, and whether it's worth it.

Let me be clear from the start: I spent five years saying no to Ringana.

Whenever someone mentioned the brand, my automatic response was always the same: “It's not for me.” I had my usual creams, my routines in place, and very little enthusiasm for trying yet another brand claiming to be the cleanest, most natural, most wonderful thing on the market.

Then one day, tired of seeing ingredients I wasn't comfortable with in things I put on my face every day, I decided to order three products out of curiosity. I wanted to try them myself, in my own bathroom, with no commitment and a healthy dose of scepticism.

That was years ago now.

Today, they're not just part of my daily routine at home; I recommend them too. But I don't want to give you the usual sales pitch where everything is perfect, because when you buy fresh skincare, some things will surprise you right from the start.

Here's my real experience: what won me over, what I didn't love quite as much, and what I think you need to know before spending a single euro.

The first surprise: expiry dates and the actual scent

If you're used to conventional skincare from beauty shops or pharmacies, two things about Ringana will surprise you first: the expiry date and how it smells.

A conventional cream will usually last three years unopened on a shelf and twelve months after opening without any trouble. That only happens with a substantial amount of synthetic preservatives. Ringana takes the opposite approach: it makes small batches without artificial preservatives, so your products arrive freshly made and have a real expiry date, just like fresh food.

At first, that made me a little nervous. I thought, “Will I have time to use it all?” In practice, if you use it as part of your morning and evening routine, you'll finish it well before it expires.

The second surprise was the scent. Don't expect a cream to smell like a lab-made rose perfume, or a shampoo to smell like bubblegum. The products smell like what's in them: botanical extracts, pure oils and fresh ingredients. It feels unfamiliar at first because our noses are used to synthetic fragrances, but after three days, you no longer want to put anything loaded with artificial perfume on your face.

What really won me over: fresh, clean skincare

Over the years, I've become very particular about what goes into my kitchen cupboards, and what I put on my skin too.

What made me stick with Ringana was its approach to formulation:

  • Vegan formulas with exceptionally pure, plant-derived ingredients.
  • No mineral oils (derived from petroleum), microplastics or silicones.
  • No artificial preservatives.
  • A sustainable, transparent approach to packaging.

I won't promise it'll transform your face in twenty-four hours, because I don't believe in miracles. What I did notice over the following weeks was that my skin felt much calmer, looked brighter and, above all, felt comfortable.

What I love most after years of use

If I had to explain why I keep buying these products year after year, it would come down to this:

1. The tooth oil (FRESH tooth oil). This was the product I found hardest to get my head around at first. Switching from the foaming toothpaste you've always used to cleaning your teeth with oil feels strange on day one. Today, it's one of my absolute essentials. That clean, smooth feeling in my mouth lasts all day.

2. The 4-step routine. Cleanser, toner, serum and moisturiser. It's simple and practical, and you don't need fifteen open bottles around the sink to keep your skin hydrated and cared for.

3. The way the brand lives up to its values. A genuinely sustainable company—one that pioneered its REuse system for reusing glass containers and avoids unnecessary packaging—matters a lot to me when I'm deciding where to spend my money.

What I like least (because that needs saying too)

An honest review also needs to cover the less convenient parts:

The price. It may be more than some people are used to paying, but genuine quality always comes at a price. Fresh, highly concentrated active ingredients cost money. We each have to weigh up our own budget and priorities.

You can't buy it at the shop around the corner. It's not sold in physical shops or pharmacies, so it doesn't spend months sitting on a shelf. You order online, and orders within Spain ship directly from the company's centre in Barcelona, so they arrive very quickly.

You have to use it up. If you're someone who keeps ten creams in a drawer at once and takes two years to finish a jar, this brand isn't for you, because its products really do expire.

Is Ringana worth it for you?

I'd say yes, it's worth it if you want to simplify your bathroom routine, cut out ingredients you don't need in your daily skincare, and value putting a fresh product with genuinely high-quality ingredients on your skin.

I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for overnight miracles or aren't going to use it consistently every morning and evening.

Placing your first order? Here's how to save €20

If reading about my experience has made you curious to try it, my advice is to start sensibly: don't buy things just for the sake of it. Choose two or three essentials you'll actually use every day.

For your first order, you can use my welcome code SINTOXICOS20: it gives you €20 off your first purchase from the official shop (on orders of €50 or more). Here's my guide to using the Ringana discount code.

And if you're not sure which product is right for your skin, don't order blindly. Send me a message on WhatsApp and I'll happily help you choose just what you need, without spending more than necessary.
