Maison Studio 81: our family project in Castelldefels, Barcelona.
In 2025, my husband and I opened Maison Studio 81 in Castelldefels, a studio specialising in scalp and facial micropigmentation and picosecond laser tattoo removal.
Today, I felt like sharing a little about this family project. It's part of my everyday life, but even if you've been following me for years, you might not know about it yet.
I've always been someone who loves exploring new paths professionally. I started out as a hairdresser, but since then, my working life has taken me through several different fields. I'll save that story for another day, because there's quite a bit to it.
One thing I do want to make clear is that opening Maison Studio 81 hasn't meant leaving my other projects behind. I still work in marketing, design, content creation, RINGANA and my other activities.

How Maison Studio 81 came to life
It all began when we decided to train in scalp micropigmentation, a cosmetic technique that recreates the appearance of hair follicles to achieve different effects on the scalp.
Alex and I both completed specialist training to learn the technique, explore its possibilities and understand the precision it requires.
Because although it might look simple when you see the finished result, a huge amount of work goes into good scalp micropigmentation.
From assessing the scalp and designing a hairline to choosing the right pigments and making sure every dot blends in naturally.
Alex has continued developing his skills with professionals such as Óscar Carballo, from Arena Negra, and Fali Galán. I've also completed several training courses, including with Fali Galán and Raquel Fernández, from Duna Atelier.
In 2025, we decided to turn our plans for our own studio into reality and opened Maison Studio 81 in Castelldefels, Barcelona.
A space where we could put these specialist skills into practice and offer personalised treatments, giving each client the time they need.
What treatments do we offer at Maison Studio 81?
At Maison Studio 81, we currently offer a range of specialist cosmetic treatments.
Scalp micropigmentation in Castelldefels
Scalp micropigmentation, also known as SMP (Scalp Micropigmentation), is a technique that uses pigments to recreate the appearance of tiny hair follicles.
At our studio, we mainly focus on three types of treatment:
Scalp micropigmentation for a shaved-head look. This is designed for people who want the appearance of a closely shaved head with fuller-looking coverage. The hairline design, dot size and pigment shade are all essential to achieving a natural result.
Scalp micropigmentation for a fuller-looking head of hair. This helps visually reduce the contrast between the hair and scalp in areas where the hair is thinning. It doesn't make hair grow; instead, it creates the illusion of fuller coverage.
Scar camouflage. In certain cases, micropigmentation can help make scalp scars less noticeable, including some scars from hair transplants.
Every treatment requires an initial assessment, because everyone's hair and scalp are different, and not everyone needs the same number of sessions.

Picosecond laser tattoo removal
This is one of the treatments I carry out myself.
At Maison Studio 81, we use picosecond laser technology to gradually remove tattoos.
This type of laser delivers very short pulses of energy that break up pigment particles, helping the body gradually clear them away.
The response depends on several factors, including the ink colours, the depth and age of the tattoo, and the characteristics of the skin.
That's why, before we begin, we carry out an assessment and explain how the procedure works, what aftercare is needed and what results we can expect.
Removal often takes several sessions, and it isn't always possible to remove all the pigment.
Removal of old eyebrow and lip micropigmentation
We also offer treatments to remove or lighten previous micropigmentation.
Some people have had micropigmented eyebrows for years and want to change their shape. Others have noticed the colour changing over time or would like to remove previous work.
In these cases, we use a picosecond laser, always assessing the pigment type and skin condition first.
It's important to bear in mind that some cosmetic pigments can darken when treated with a laser, so each case needs careful assessment.
Eyebrow and lip micropigmentation and microblading
At our studio, we also offer facial micropigmentation treatments to enhance the definition of eyebrows and lips.
These include powder brows, microblading and lip micropigmentation.
These are different techniques, and the choice depends on skin type, facial features and the result each person is looking for.
That's why we place so much importance on planning the design beforehand and setting realistic expectations for the treatment.

We like to listen to what each client hopes to achieve, explain what's realistically possible and answer all their questions before we begin.

And if we feel a treatment isn't suitable, we'd rather explain why than carry out work that doesn't meet our quality standards.
