Ingredients

Here are the ingredients you'll need

  • 350g skinned toasted hazelnuts
  • 400g dark chocolate (65% or 85% cocoa) with sweetener
  • 3 tablespoons date paste
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

Step by step

Method

  1. 1Blend the hazelnuts in the food processor until they turn into a smooth, creamy butter.
  2. 2Melt the chocolate together with the coconut oil.
  3. 3Transfer the hazelnut butter to a bowl and add the date paste and melted chocolate.
  4. 4Mix well until you get the perfect consistency.
  5. 5And that's it! Now we can enjoy our HEALTHY CHOCOLATE HAZELNUT SPREAD

Extra tips

  1. 1It keeps for up to 1 month in the fridge in a good airtight glass jar.
  2. 2A very powerful food processor or blender is essential to grind the hazelnuts until completely smooth and runny.
  3. 3If it seems too liquid, pop it in the fridge so the chocolate and coconut oil can set into a creamy texture.
  4. 4If it firms up too much in the fridge, give it a quick zap in the microwave and you're good to go (don't overdo it or the chocolate can burn).
