Ingredients

Here are the ingredients you'll need

  • 1 kg yearling beef (cut into bite-sized cubes)
  • 250 g mushrooms
  • 1 large white onion
  • 2 tubs of low-fat cream cheese spread
  • White wine
  • Pink salt
  • Black pepper
  • Extra virgin olive oil

Step by step

Method

  1. 1In a skillet with a drizzle of olive oil, sear the beef cubes over high heat, then set them aside.
  2. 2In the same pan and oil, gently cook the onion until soft and translucent.
  3. 3Once the onion is softened, add the sliced mushrooms and a pinch of salt.
  4. 4As the mushrooms begin to cook down, pour in a generous splash of white wine and let it reduce.
  5. 5Once reduced, stir in both tubs of cream cheese, mixing thoroughly until smooth and well combined with the veggies.
  6. 6When the cheese sauce is velvety, return the beef to the pan and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. 7Stir well and let everything simmer gently over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  8. 8Done! Our BEEF BITES WITH CREAMY CHEESE AND MUSHROOM SAUCE are ready to enjoy.
