  • 360g wheat flour
  • 300ml light Greek yogurt
  • Pinch of salt

  • Egg white
  • Sesame seeds

Step by step

Method

  1. 1Add all the pâté ingredients to a blender or food processor and blend until completely smooth.
  2. 2Transfer to an airtight container and keep in the fridge so it can be enjoyed cold.
  3. 3Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
  4. 4Mix the flour with the Greek yogurt and a pinch of salt.
  5. 5Once the dough comes together, divide it into 4 equal portions and roll each into a rope, then pinch the ends together to form donut shapes.
  6. 6Place them onto a baking sheet lightly greased with olive oil spray.
  7. 7Brush the bagels with egg white and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  8. 8Bake for 20-25min at 180ºC.
  9. 9Let them cool, slice them in half, spread with the sardine pâté, and top with baby greens, sliced tomatoes, and whatever else you like.
  10. 10And that's it! Our QUICK HOMEMADE BAGELS AND SARDINE PÂTÉ are ready.

Notes

  1. 1These aren't fluffy bagels. They are a quick, no-fuss version.
  2. 2They don't use yeast, but you can add some if you prefer.
  3. 3The thickness of your bagels will depend on how thick you roll the ropes before shaping them.
