This Christmas we decided to make a festive spelt pizza with spinach and chorizo shaped like a Christmas tree, ideal for bringing a fun holiday touch to our table. We divide the dough into little balls and top them with homemade tomato sauce and our favorite toppings for a homemade pizza that's as eye-catching as it is easy to share.

Ingredients

Here are the ingredients you need

  • 1 ball of spelt pizza dough
  • Homemade tomato sauce
  • Grated low-fat, lactose-free cheese
  • Baby spinach
  • Thin chorizo slices
  • Mini mozzarella balls

Step by step

Method

  1. 1Take the dough out of the fridge and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  2. 2Preheat the oven to its highest setting.
  3. 3Dust your work surface with semolina flour and knead the dough ball lightly.
  4. 4Divide it into equal-sized small balls (I made 12 balls).
  5. 5Arrange the dough balls on your baking tray to form a Christmas tree shape, pressing each ball against the next.
  6. 6Flatten them slightly.
  7. 7Add the toppings: tomato sauce, low-fat cheese, spinach, chorizo, and mozzarella.
  8. 8Bake for 5 to 8 minutes.
  9. 9Ready! Our CHRISTMAS SPELT PIZZA WITH SPINACH AND CHORIZO is done.

Extras

  1. 1Baking time depends on your oven, so if it isn't fully cooked after that time, leave it in for a few more minutes, keeping a close eye so it doesn't burn.
