Ingredients

Here are the ingredients you'll need for this recipe

  • 1kg skinless, boneless hake fillets
  • 1 leek
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dill
  • 6 tablespoons fine rolled oats

Step by step

Method

  1. 1Wash and finely mince the leek; set aside.
  2. 2Rinse and cut the hake fillets into very small pieces.
  3. 3In a deep mixing bowl, add the hake, leek, and eggs, mixing thoroughly so everything comes together.
  4. 4Next, add the garlic powder, ground pepper, and dill, and mix well again.
  5. 5Finally, add the rolled oats and work the mixture thoroughly with your hands, pressing everything together.
  6. 6Shape the mixture into burger patties.
  7. 7Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat to cook our burgers on the griddle.
  8. 8Cover with a lid and let them cook; flip them carefully so they don't break apart.
  9. 9Cook on the other side, covering again so they cook thoroughly right through the center.
  10. 10And that's it! Our Hake and Leek Burgers are ready.
